OPINION
Danny Cowley has done a superb job at Lincoln in the last few years so it is no shock at all to see so many West Brom fans on Twitter drooling over the prospect of him heading to The Hawthorns after a report by the Express & Star claimed that the Baggies are interested in the 40-year-old. Cowley has won two promotions in three seasons at Sincil Bank, taking Lincoln from the National League to League One and winning the EFL trophy on the way. He is a bright young manager with plenty of new ideas that could be utilised at West Brom, who have had a really stale choice of managers in the last few years. The last time West Brom went really bold with a managerial appointment was when they hired Roberto Di Matteo in 2009. He won promotion from the Championship in his first season in charge of the Baggies, so why not try and repeat that success by hiring Cowley?

Very pleased to hear us linked to Cowley. He is the outstanding choice when looking at English league managers who are in our range.

I'd be happy with Cowley but surprised Micky Mellon's name never gets mentioned.

Fascinating report and to think that Danny Cowley @dancowley1 has been mentioned – a man who I have said in the past could do well for the Albion. https://t.co/ui9wfnjCmy

Of the names being touted around for head coach, Hughton is the safe option with a solid track record but the one that interests me is Lincoln's Danny Cowley. Two promotions in three seasons at Lincoln and a bright young coach on the up and up. Worth a look IMHO. #wba

Ok by me! Never not done well wherever he's been but really did start at the bottom & work his way up! Bright, intelligent, ambitious, likeable from what I've seen of him! Thought he would have been good option before DM appointment – even more convinced now!

Get him in. This is the type of manager that is needed going forward. Sure he would jump at the opportunity. We don't need a manager from the usual merry go round.
