OPINION
West Bromwich Albion supporters have taken to Twitter to express their willing for the club to appoint Bruno Labbadia as the Baggies successor to Darren Moore. Labbadia is leaving his role as Wolfsburg manager, after guiding the Bundesliga club to a sixth place finish this season which has secured the club qualification for next season’s Europa League. The 53-year-old is thought to be set to engage in talks with West Brom over the vacant managerial position at the Hawthorns, according to the Express and Star. Labbadia would be a very interesting appointment for the Baggies, with the 53-year-old having plenty of experience having managed the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg amongst others in the past 16-years. However, he has never managed in the Championship, or in English football, and that could prove to be an issue with the English second tier being renowned for its difficulty given the amount of matches sides have to play during the season. Although both David Wagner and Daniel Farke have arrived in the Championship from Germany with no prior experience of the league and gone onto to achieve promotion with Huddersfield Town and Norwich City respectively. Therefore, Labbadia could be just the man needed to take West Brom back to the Premier League, some of their fans certainly think so.

Talk about left field. This would be quite the coup for Albion, despite no experience of English football. Time and again German coaches have proven to be excellent so I would happily take him, and this could be amazing for our young players. Believe it when I see it though.
