Manchester United fans will surely be excited after a senior agent claimed that the club will be successful in bringing players to the club this summer.

Federico Pastorello, who works with Red Devils striker Romelu Lukaku and has previously had clients such as Patrice Evra and Kevin Prince-Boateng, told Sky Sports News that the Old Trafford club will be able to use their “amazing” brand to attract top talent.

“I think Manchester United will have a lot of success in the summer bringing in players.

“There will be a lot of work for Mr Woodward but they will be able to convince the top players to come because the brand is amazing, one of the best in the world.”

This is surely set to excite United fans. Having been given the permanent Old Trafford reins after a fantastic start, the club’s form tailed off badly.

The club felt the United of old was back after Solskjaer masterminded wins such as the one against Tottenham in the Premier League, while guiding the club past Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

But in the end, United were dumped out of European football’s elite competition by Barcelona and eventually failed to finish in the top four, threatening their chances of signing top talent.

But if these quotes from Pastorello are anything to go by, the Red Devils are in for a busy summer. It would seem that the club’s brand of being one of the biggest and most powerful in the world will still see them as an attractive prospect to many.

In a summer where Solskjaer is planning a clear-out of his squad, it is important that the Norwegian boss replaces those he gets rid of with both top talent and youngsters ready to breathe life back into the team.

And it would seem from these quotes that United’s failure to secure Champions League football will not affect their chances of doing so, which could – if it turns out to be true – be a massive boost to the Old Trafford club.
