Arsenal fans will fully agree with the “dream list” of players that Ian Wright believes the club should should target this summer.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Gunners legend outlined how he would go about navigating the busy transfer window.

“Someone like Ben Chilwell,” the pundit recommended. “He is the kind of left-back who is getting better with every game. He’s an England international now. Somebody that I’m sure is going to be sought after.

“Then there is Youri Tielemans. He came over from Monaco. He’s on loan at Leicester City and he’s someone that – well there are loads of teams linked with him – but he’s someone that you’d want to have.

“And Nicolas Pepe at Lille. That kind of winger with his intensity, pace and skill. Those are the kind of players that are definitely going to improve any team, if I’m totally honest.

“And they’re at the age where they are going to be there for a few years. So that’s a dream list if I’m being totally honest.”

These are the exact kinds of players Arsenal should be targeting this summer, and they are three players that many Arsenal fans will agree will help the team progress greatly next term.

As Wright says, Chilwell has been excellent in a Leicester City shirt and deservedly broke through to the England senior team.

The fact that he is 22 means a great deal too. The Gunners’ current left-back, Nacho Monreal, is 33, meaning if they sign Chilwell – who is a significant upgrade on the former – he still has years left in his career and can develop into an even more fantastic left-back at the Emirates.

Also at Leicester, Tielemans has bossed the Foxes midfield since arriving on loan from Monaco and looks the part playing Premier League football. Again, the midfielder is only 22 and already has 21 senior Belgium caps to his name.

The fact that he only joined at the end of January and has already settled so well is a great sign. He has been unplayable at Leicester, and after 13 Premier League appearances, he had eight goal contributions.

He has shown he can fit into the Premier League very easily, so he would have no problem settling into the Arsenal team, which needs a long-term replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

As for Nicolas Pepe, the winger has been unreal in Ligue 1 this term, netting 22 goals and assisting 11 others in 37 appearances, and he is a player who would benefit any team in Europe at this moment in time.

One thing is for certain, he would certainly add another dimension to the Arsenal attack and provide another goal threat alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
