OPINION
Giovani Lo Celso has sent a message to Tottenham’s Erik Lamela on Instagram, and that has understandably caused a reaction among some Spurs fans. The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Spurs had tabled a £53million bid to sign Lo Celso from Real Betis in the summer transfer window. Lamela posted via his personal Instagram account on Wednesday, uploading an image of himself on the plane to Madrid ahead of the Champions League final. Lo Celso dropped a comment which loosely translates to ‘nice one Coco’. Tottenham fans have been speculating on Twitter as to why the central midfielder would be messaging Lamela in a time where there has been so many reports linking him with a move to North London. Yes he is an international team-mate with Argentina, and Lo Celso did comment on one of Lamela’s posts two weeks ago as well. It’s likely that there’s nothing in this, but it does not mean that Spurs aren’t trying to sign the Argentine ace.
