COMMENTARY
They might have seen Celtic storm away with the league title once again but you can be sure that Sunday’s Old Firm victory for Rangers will keep the Gers fans happy over the summer. It would have been the perfect way to end a hit-and-miss season for the Light Blues – with one more game left to play – and the joy around the blue half of Glasgow is already palpable just a day later. The Gers posted a tweet on their official account with a video of Tom Rogic getting clattered by Jon Flanagan, the short clip accompanied by three words: ‘Welcome to Ibrox’. It is the perfect video to represent the fighting spirit that the Rangers stars showed in the 90 minutes against their fiercest rivals and it should come as no surprise to see the Ibrox faithful lapping it up with their responses. The club’s social media admin knows exactly how to play the supporters like a fiddle and you can imagine there might be a few more clips resurfacing over the summer just to remind the Rangers support – and maybe Celtic – what a derby day win is like.
