COMMENTARY

With the season coming to an end and a potential third consecutive treble winning campaign on the cards you would think it would be happy times for Celtic fans but that is definitely not the case. Ahead of this weekend’s derby clash against Rangers, Timothy Weah revealed via his personal Twitter account that he would be leaving the club early after his loan spell, suggesting that manager Neil Lennon has told him to pack his bags and go for the good of the club. This has not gone down well with the Parkhead faithful, who have been left fuming at Lennon’s decision to get him out as soon as possible. The USA forward might not have been a major figure in the first team but he has definitely shown enough to suggest he could be a decent player for the Hoops. Now Lennon is without an attacker for the club’s final few games and with the Scottish Cup final coming up, there is more chance of injury to one of the club’s stars. Only the manager knows why Weah’s time is up, but it is not a decision which has been well received by the supporters.
