What a fall from grace it has been for Daniel Candeias at Rangers. Once heralded as one of the best players at Ibrox, offering not only great quality on the wing but an immense work ethic, he has drifted out of the starting XI in recent weeks, although Steven Gerrard brought him back for their final day clash versus Kilmarnock. However, the man in the dugout perhaps wishes he had not given the Portuguese forward the chance to redeem himself in what was another lacklustre performance. Yes, he might run his socks off but that means absolutely nothing when your efforts result in very little and that is exactly what left the Gers faithful tearing him to shreds on Twitter. He lasted just over an hour before being replaced by youngster Dapo Mebude and there are those of an Ibrox persuasion who believe this could be the last time they see him wearing the blue of Rangers. Whether or not he does go remains to be seen but judging by this performance he cannot be too confident of having convinced Gerrard of his worth in Glasgow.
