COMMENTARY

With the end of the season upon those at Rangers, they would have been hoping for a positive end to the campaign to see them into summer. Did they get what they wanted in the first half against Kilmarnock? Not in the slightest. It was a seriously nervy showing from Steven Gerrard’s men who looked all over the place and you can imagine a half time rollicking was awaiting them in the dressing room. One man who did not escape criticism from those on Twitter was defender Joe Worrall and it is not the first time the Nottingham Forest loanee has come under heavy fire. With his loan spell coming to an end there are plenty who seem happy they will not have to see him turn out at Ibrox again and understandably so. Solid in some games, he was a liability for many other outings and when the one thing you want from a defender is consistency, he failed to do what was needed. Not the way he nor the Rangers faithful would have wanted him to end his time in Glasgow but at least Gerrard got a definitive answer as to whether he should consider a return next season.
