Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is expected to make two changes to his side’s starting XI for the club’s final day clash against Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon.

The Gers managed to get bragging rights over Celtic in their penultimate game of the season and will be looking to see off the campaign, which has been Gerrard’s first in management, with a bang.

They face a Kilmarnock side looking to cement third place behind the two Glasgow giants in a battle with Aberdeen, the two sides level on points with only goal difference keeping Steve Clarke’s men ahead in the table.

Despite little to play for, Gerrard is not expected to make wholesale changes, with Alfredo Morelos and Joe Worrall expected to come in for Jermain Defoe and Nikola Katic, who helped seal victory over Celtic.

In goal Wes Foderingham will continue to take Allan McGregor’s place thanks to the veteran’s suspension, while Worrall is predicted to be the only change at the back after Gerrard allowed Nikola Katic to end his season early ahead of the under-21 European Championships.

It is likely to be 6’2″ (source: Transfermarkt) Worrall’s final appearance in a Rangers shirt after club chief Mark Allen confirmed that the powerhouse defender would return to parent club Nottingham Forest at the end of his loan spell, with plans to find new signings in defence.

In midfield Ryan Jack and Glen Kamara have formed a formidable partnership, dominating Celtic’s midfield, and Gerrard can be expected to give them another 90 minutes alongside each other to build familiarity ahead of next season.

Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and Steven Davis were brilliant in their more advanced roles versus the Bhoys and are likely to remain, while Morelos looks set to retake his place in the starting XI for the final game ahead of what is likely to be an uncertain summer regarding his future at Ibrox.
