Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos will listen to offers from other clubs in the summer transfer window, according to Marca.

The Colombian news outlet claims that European sides Marseille and Real Betis are interested in signing the 22-year-old, who has scored 29 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for Rangers this season.

It is understood that La Liga club Real Betis are yet to make an offer for Morelos and could find it hard to sign the former HJK Helsinki striker in the summer even though he appears to be in his final days as a Gers player.

OPINION

Although Morelos is the best striker in Scottish football and is someone who Rangers might struggle to replace in the summer, Steven Gerrard should definitely allow the Colombia international leave Ibrox. He has been a liability at times this season, picking up five red cards and 15 yellow cards in all competitions. Morelos has also been lucky to avoid retrospective punishment for other incidents on the pitch this term, and even though he scores goals for fun, there’s just no point in keeping him around when he cannot stop himself from getting into trouble against Celtic and Aberdeen. Rangers won’t win the title if they are not winning regular games against the Bhoys and the Dons, and Morelos only ever seems bothered about getting sent off in those matches. It will be hard to find someone to replace the goals that he scores, but it won’t be difficult to find someone who can start every match up front without running the risk of being sent off whenever they come within touching distance of an opponent.
