Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are both interested in signing Everton striker Richarlison, according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper claims that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is wary of Neymar’s desire to move on from the club at the end of the season, and has identified the 22-year-old – who has 14 goals in all competitions for the Toffees this term – as a potential replacement.

Atletico meanwhile, are weighing up the futures of Alvaro Morata – who could choose to stay in the Spanish capital after moving on loan from Chelsea in January – and Antoine Griezmann, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

The Daily Mirror report also says that Richarlison could be snapped up for £70million, with PSG and Atletico keen to offer the Brazilian a “serious improvement” on his wages worth a reported £125,000 per week.

Good move for Everton?

Definitely not. Fourteen goals in 38 appearances is a solid start for Richarlison this season and Everton fans will be keen to see the Brazilian kick on next season. Toffees boss Marco Silva had a shaky start to life at Goodison Park but has impressed in recent months, and having Richarlison around next season will keep them at this level and definitely help them improve. The forward has been a key part of the Everton attack this season and it would be a major step back to see him leave.

Likely to happen?

Probably not. While the Mirror report claims that Neymar has been voicing concerns about his future in Paris, the likelihood is that he will not move on at the end of this season. For Atletico, they have a range of options to consider about their own players before looking elsewhere. The newspaper report says that Diego Costa’s eight game ban has put his future at the Wanda Metropolitano in doubt, while Morata and Griezmann could both stay at the club.
