David Prutton has shown that he has been very biased towards Leeds United with his predictions about the club in their Championship campaign.

The ex-Leeds midfielder does his predictions on the Sky Sports website every week and usually always goes for a victory for his former club, despite their inconsistent form in 2019.

While it was fair to keep predicting wins for the Yorkshire giants in the first-half of the season, their form since January has been all over the place and yet Prutton kept on backing Marcelo Bielsa’s men to win.

As shown on the Sky Sports website on Monday, Prutton predicted Leeds’ final points haul to be wildly wrong.

His predictions led to the Whites finishing top of the table, earning a whopping 34 extra points compared to what Bielsa’s men actually earned over the course of the regular season.

Leeds finished third in the table in the end with 83 points, but Prutton backed them to win 117 points during the campaign.

Seemingly embarrassed by being so wrong, the Sky Sports pundit explained his thought-process.

“I must admit I thought with the form Leeds showed earlier in the season that they would win the Championship, and with some of their performances it became hard to back against them most weeks,” said Prutton on the Sky Sports website.

How can someone predict a side to win so many points without being biased?

Prutton is a Yorkshire-born former midfielder who played for Leeds over three seasons.

It is so obvious that he has been looking through things in white-tinted glasses this term and at least if Bielsa’s side win promotion via the play-offs in the coming weeks, Championship fans can hope for a more balanced view from one of Sky’s most widely-used pundits.
