Tottenham fans will have had to wait a year and a half since their last signing when the summer transfer window comes around at the end of the season – but will they finally dip their hands into their pockets this time around?
Logic says they have to if they want to stay in the running for a top four position but Mauricio Pochettino will point to the job he has done this season to suggest that money is not the be all and end all when it comes to footballing success.

Journalist Alan Nixon claims on his personal Twitter account that the Lilywhites are joined by a number of clubs in chasing Birmingham City’s teenage forward Adan George, the 16-year-old being promoted to the Blues’ under-23 side side this season.
Now, being Spurs, with their exceptional development record, might be enough to convince a youngster to make the move to north London but it helps when a player he believes is the best in the world in plying his trade at the club.
As revealed on the Birmingham City official website, Adan George is a massive fan of Kane, stating that the boyhood Manchester United fan believes there is no better than the Spurs favourite up front – and the chance to learn from him surely gives Tottenham the lead in hunting his capture.
They say never meet your heroes – for George, he might not have an option next season.
