COMMENTARY
While Liverpool fans still rejoice in the memory of 2005 and have the heartbreak of last season still fresh in the memory, it has been quite some time since the Tottenham faithful have seen their side in a European final. Their UEFA Cup final victory over Anderlecht was the last time the Spurs supporters got to head to the continent with the chance of seeing their side pick up some silverware – and even then it was a two legged tie. This year, there will be plenty of supporters off to Madrid to see their side try and seal victory – but there will be plenty left in north London forced to watch on TV – until now, that is. The club have revealed, via Twitter and their official website, their plans to open their stadium and beam the clash back live to television screens and it has gone down an absolute treat with the Spurs fans. In such brilliant surroundings it should be a brilliant occasion and if they can pack out the ground with a number of supporters near to its capacity, the place will be absolutely bouncing.
