COMMENTARY
Tottenham attacker Fernando Llorente seems to fancy himself an unlikely hero as he always wows when you least expect it. That was once again the case against Ajax on Wednesday. The veteran forward was brought on during the game with Mauricio Pochettino looking like he was having one last throw of the dice and it paid off. Llorente entered the field and as one Spurs fan rightly said below, Ajax looked nervous as a result. It’s no surprise that with the forward on the field the match went from being 2-0 to Ajax to 3-2 to Spurs. While the attacker didn’t take his opportunity to get on the scoresheet himself, he missed a header he should of scored, the rest of his play should be praise. As one Spurs supporter said below, Llorente’s touch was terrific and he was winning every header in order to make himself a nuisance.

My god Llorente’s influence has been great (if only he could get a header on target)
