Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold on his personal Twitter account claimed that Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez was injured and could potentially miss the clash with Ajax, and this update saw many Spurs fans despair. Many Spurs fans opted to moan about the club’s bad luck with injuries while one sarcastically said lovely over the thought of having only one fit centre-back to choose from for Wednesday’s clash. The 22-year-old defender may not have been in the best of form lately, but it’s clear to see that injury problems are starting to worry fans. The clash with Ajax is a crucial one for Mauricio Pochettino’s side as it could really make Spurs’ season if they beat the Dutch club. Spurs go into the clash with Ajax 1-0 down on aggregate but must be aware that they’re capable of turning the tie on its head. Gold was quick to point out that what he had heard was yet to be confirmed, but it was still enough to make a large number of Spurs supporters upset.
