Gary Lineker delivered a definitive seven-word message to Tottenham fans ahead of the Champions League final on Saturday.
Harry Kane has been out injured since the start of April, when he limped out of the Champions League game against Man City.
However, he is homing in on a starting place in the team and Lineker is in no doubt as to whether he should play or not.
He tweeted, “If Kane is fit, he starts. Simple.”
Normally, you’d expect Tottenham fans to agree with Lineker but the Tottenham fans are actually split. After his extended time on the sidelines, Kane won’t be 100% match fit and there’s a chance the game could go to extra-time and penalties. if that happens, we can’t see Kane making it to the end.
One fan pointed this out saying that Pochettino would see the end of the game as being as important as the start.
Another Tottenham fan said “100% disagree” and said “We got there without him. Bring him on but don’t start him! Give Lucas what he deserves.”
And this is a very good point. If Pochettino does start Kane, who does he drop? Dele Alli or hat-trick hero Lucas Moura? That’s a tough choice for the Tottenham manager. We think Kane should start on the bench – fit or not – and come on in the second-half. What an impact sub to have.
Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans:

Would he make it to extra time, and pens?
He should probably start, but I imagine Poch might be thinking that the finish is as important as the start ?

Spurs are going to win this game with or without Harry

Yes Gary – all other arguments are valid points BUT he’s our best player and if he’s fit he must start. Liverpool would do the same with Salah – you simply must play your big dog.

I’d prefer the same team that beat Ajax to start. We know they can do it. Even if Harry is “fit”. He hasn’t played a competitive match in months. This will most likely be our downfall. Playing a player who’s timing is off

He’s one of our own ????
Born to grace the biggest stage #COYS

Our top striker, fantastic player but I think we should keep it simple Lucas and son upfront and release the beast in second half to give them more panic at the back.

Hasn’t played for weeks, not match fit and H is always rusty when he comes back from his ankle injuries! I would start Moura!
