OPINION
Tottenham missed out on third place in the Premier League after a 2-2 draw with Everton on the final day of the season and fans ripped into left-back Ben Davies on Twitter.
He was to blame for both Everton goals, giving Theo Walcott too much space for their opener, before missing a header from a corner for Tosun to poke in the second.
Tottenham’s full-backs have been a constant scourge for the fans this season, with Kieran Trippier coming in for most of the criticism after a very poor season. He wasn’t playing yesterday but Kyle Walker-Peters didn’t put in a completely assured performance on the right.
Davies was worse on the left though and one fan said he “shouldn’t be anywhere near this Spurs team”.
Fourth place, however, secures Champions League football in another good season for Mauricio Pochettino and it could get much, much better. He’s got a chance to get the monkey off his back and land his first trophy in the biggest game of his career as Spurs play Liverpool in the Champions League final on June 1.
We don’t expect to see Ben Davies starting that game, with Danny Rose likely to get the nod. These fans will certainly be hoping that’s the case.
Here are the best reactions to Davies’ display on Sunday:

How can Davies let Walcott with so much time?

Lack of engagement when they get into our final third, especially when Davies stood off Walcott.
