Tottenham have the chance to make history tomorrow night when they take on Liverpool in the final of the Champions League in Madrid.

Liverpool are the favourites after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title but former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has said there’s nothing between the two sides.

He was on the Jim White Show (talkSPORT, Friday, 9am) and was asked by Tony Cascarino if there was a weakness in the Liverpool side.

The two [Liverpool] full-backs are fantastic, full of energy, love to get forward,” said Redknapp, “but there is space behind them you can exploit.

“It’s so evenly matched. Both sides have great forwards… the Two Belgian boys are incredible for Tottenham. I find it so hard to separate the two.”

So Liverpool’s only weakness is also one of their biggest strengths? That shows how tough the task is for Pochettino and for Tottenham tomorrow. Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold were involved in 30 goals last season, a phenomenal amount for the two full-backs, and they will pose a big threat going forward tomorrow. However, Redknapp is right. Spurs have a solid defence with Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, and he called Danny Rose the “perfect full-back”, and there will be space behind Robertson and Alexander-Arnold that the Tottenham attackers can exploit. Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura have the pace and the talent to make the most of this, and the flanks could be a key battle ground in Madrid on Saturday. We think there will be goals and we think that it could go all the way to extra-time and penalties. However it ends though, what a climax to an incredible season in the Premier League.
