Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is surely reaching for the chequebook after hearing that Tottenham would likely only need to bid £30million to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.

The Sun reported on Monday that all of the Premier League’s top six were monitoring the Cherries attacker and that a bid of £30million would likely be enough to prise him away from Bournemouth in the summer.

Given that the Daily Mirror previously reported that Spurs had been keen enough on Fraser to have scouted him, then surely Levy will now see Fraser as one of the ideal players to sign.

The 25-year-old was in sensational form for the Cherries in his 2018/19 campaign as he scored eight goals while assisting 15 in the 42 appearances he made for them across all competitions.

In fact Fraser, who is a glorified assists machine, was in such good form in his latest season that only Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard managed to get more assists than him in the Premier League.

When you consider how good Fraser was in his latest campaign, the fact he is still only 25-years-old and that he is a player worth his weight in gold due to how many chances he creates; £30million seems like a bargain.

This is especially the case when you consider he is also a proven quantity in the Premier League as he has featured 92 times in England’s top-flight.

Spurs shelled out £23million for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura in 2018 (Source: BBC Sport) when he was coming off the back of a lacklustre campaign; so to pay only £7million more for an in-form winger with Premier League experience is too good to pass up.

However Levy is no doubt aware of the level of interest in Fraser and as a result is surely grabbing the Spurs chequebook before he misses out on a fantastic chance to sign a talented winger for such a reasonable price.
