OPINION
Poor Tottenham. Sometimes it feels as if they really can’t win. After years of having to deal with a reputation of being chronic bottle jobs, the club have finally gone a decent way to ending that with a stunning run to final of the Champions League, but still opposition supporters are finding ways to give them a hard time. It was announced, as reported by Sky Sports, that the club have made plans for a Champions League victory parade. The first thing you take form the story is that it seems a little bit presumptuous. Or at least it does until you find out that it is actually fairly standard practice to plan these things well in advance. Much easier to cancel a trophy parade than it is to plan one in a day or two. If there is one thing that you would question Spurs over, however, it would be their decision to hold it on June 2nd, the day after the Champions League final. If they win the trophy, and that is a big if, then there are still going to be an awful lot of fans over in Madrid, or nursing sore heads, the next day. Perhaps some patience wouldn’t have gone amiss.
