Many Tottenham fans were blown away by the fact their club were reportedly pursuing Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. Spanish outlet AS reported that Spurs were in talks with the La Liga club about signing the 23-year-old midfielder and were even willing to pay £51.9million (60million euros) in order to get him. While that is a huge amount to pay for a player, it was clear many Tottenham fans thought it would be a worth while investment. One Spurs fan was so excited they just kept saying “omg” while another stated they thought the midfielder was pure class. It’s easy to see why Tottenham fans were so happy over the thought of Lo Celso potentially being signed, as the central midfielder had a fantastic 2018/19 campaign. The 23-year-old scored 16 goals and racked up six assists in 46 outings and was a constant attacking threat for his side.

A very good player, would be happy if we bought him to replace Eriksen should he go. Technically gifted, intelligent, threads balls and can score a bundle. Far too good for betis. Problem is he just signed for Betis from psg after a successful year loan
