Spurs fans rip Dier apart at HT v Bournemouth

COMMENTARY

Tottenham went into the half-time break against Bournemouth with the score 0-0, and it’s clear many Spurs fans expected more. Well it at least seemed that way given that loads of Spurs fans didn’t hold back when sharing their thoughts on midfielder Eric Dier’s first-half display. A few called for him to be sold in the summer, one dubbed him a liability and another highlighted how fast the player had regressed. While Dier didn’t overly do too much wrong in the first-half, though he foolishly got himself booked early on, it was no surprise to see so much anger being directed towards him. The 25-year-old was once a standout player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side but now it’s a struggle to remember the last fantastic performance he put in. Dier used to help add an extra layer of steel to Spurs’ side by playing just in front of the defence, but if you played him there currently; he’s more like to help his opponent score through sheer clumsiness.
