Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey hasn’t been a regular member of Rafa Benitez’s side in recent months but he was handed a chance to impress against Fulham on Sunday. The central midfielder seized his chance and as a result had many Magpies fans drooling over him. One Newcastle supporter claimed Shelvey had submitted a masterclass display while another revealed they thought he ran the show against Fulham. Shelvey opened the scoring for the Magpies in their 4-0 win over Fulham and it’s easy to see why his performance was worthy of praise. The 28-year-old took his chance well and his general play was a joy to behold. However given how good he looks perhaps Magpies fans shouldn’t be hyping him up but instead worrying that he is about to exit St James Park. The midfielder surely isn’t happy over not being a guaranteed name on the teamsheet given his talent, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he packed his bags.
