Inter Milan have met with Alexis Sanchez’ representatives in order to try to work out a deal for the Man United winger, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian giants want to bring the Chilean to the San Siro and end his disappointing time with the Red Devils.

Sanchez, 30, has just one goal in 20 league outings this season and has failed to hit the ground running since his move from Arsenal in January 2018.

Man United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is keen to cut the wage bill and offloading Sanchez would be a significant start to the process.

Good move for Manchester United?

Sanchez has endured a torrid time since joining the club. He has massively flopped and looks a completely different player to the one which donned the red and white of Arsenal. A move away from the club is one which suits both parties, Man United will require major reconstruction in the summer and Solskjaer will be looking to offload those who have failed to deliver. Sanchez has proven quality and it is a crying shame that he has been unable to replicate his performances in the past for the Red Devils. Sanchez has failed under both Jose Mourinho and Solskjar, it’s time for him to depart Manchester.

Likely to happen?

The major stumbling block for any potential move for Alexis Sanchez is the player’s colossal wages. Sanchez will have to take a pay-cut in order to move away from the club, which makes the deal much more complicated. Inter, however, have met with Sanchez’ representatives and the sign of intent is apparent, it’s down to whether wages will prevent a deal from taking place.
