Amid Everton’s interest in Adrien Tameze, the midfielder would be a smart piece of business for the Toffees.

Marco Silva is targeting the Cameroonian midfielder and the player would be open to a move to the Premier League, according to RMC.

Tameze featured 35 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, he operates as a defensive midfielder and has two years remaining with French outfit Nice.

Having been almost ever-present in Ligue 1 this campaign, Tameze’ consistency and steadiness would be welcomed in an Everton side that has struggled to maintain good form throughout the season. Idrissa Gueye has been linked with a move away from the club and with that in mind, Tameze could be a safe and solid addition.

Tameze is a player that would arrive with a point to prove. Little is known about the midfielder and he could prove to be a shrewd addition. Andre Gomes is wanted back at Goodison Park but with other clubs assessing his situation, it could be a very difficult task to bring him back to the club. Tameze is a viable option that wouldn’t break the bank and at 25-years-old, he still has his best years ahead of him.

Morgan Schneiderlin has only made 13 appearances in the Premier League this season and Marco Silva really needs to solidify the centre of Everton’s midfield – Schneiderlin may depart. A steady midfield operator who is able to dictate the tempo and provide sufficient defensive cover is needed and Tameze could fill that gap.
