Many Chelsea fans took to social media during the first-half of the Europa League final against Arsenal in order to rip defender David Luiz apart. The two Premier League sides may have gone into the break with the score 0-0, but it wasn’t enough to stop Blues fans fuming over the display of their Brazilian centre-back. In fact it took one Chelsea fan only 10 minutes to suggest they had seen enough of Luiz as they dubbed him a clown. The 32-year-old centre-back did make some unnecessary fouls during the first-half against the Gunners, which is typical of him, but it wasn’t enough to have fans be justified in slamming his display. Luiz is a player who divides opinion at Stamford Bridge due to his playing style and unpredictable nature at the back sometimes, and you feel Chelsea fans below were just out to get him. This is especially the case with the fan who claimed Luiz was physically done despite him out-muscling several Gunners players during the first-half.
