OPINION

Liverpool fans always seem to have one player that they are moaning about on Twitter, and it in the first-half against Barcelona on Wednesday night it was Georginio Wijnaldum. The 28-year-old was played out of position in the opening 45 minutes at the Nou Camp with Jurgen Klopp starting him in the three-man attack instead of Roberto Firmino. It clearly has not worked that well, and even though it was Klopp’s decision to play someone out of their natural role, it’s the player who has been torn to shreds by some Liverpool fans on Twitter. Why can’t Liverpool fans just be positive about their players rather than bashing them every time they misplace one pass or take a heavy touch. Mohamed Salah lost the ball a couple of times in that half but he doesn’t get anywhere near as much stick as anyone else. Hopefully Klopp will change things up at half-time because Wijnaldum being played in the attack clearly isn’t working how he wanted it to. Blame Klopp for this, not Wijnaldum.
