Leeds are in the hunt for Kosovo international midfielder Benjamin Kololli, according to Football Insider

Leeds are on the lookout for a left-sided player with Jack Harrison heading back to parent club Man City.

They will face competition for the 27-year-old from Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford.

Good move for Leeds?

Hard to tell with this one as Kololli has never played for a club side out of Switzerland. He’s had a good season for FC Zurich though, scoring 14 goals and adding eight assists in 38 goals across all competitions. The one clue that he could be great for Leeds came in his impressive Europa League run this year, where he scored two and set two up in seven games, including a goal against Napoli in the first knockout round. He’s got nine caps for Kosovo but all three goals came against Malta. He does offer versatility too, which could be valuable for Leeds, and can play on the left win, or back on either side in midfield.

Likely to happen?

Leeds haven’t got much money to spend and they’re going to have to rely on cheap deals and loans to get them up to fighting strength for next season. Kololli was only bought by Zurich from Lausanne-Sport last summer for around £800k and they’ll be looking to turn a profit on him, but he would still be affordable at around £2-3million. Wages wouldn’t be an issue either. He’s a possible but Bielsa would surely prefer players who have some experience of the Championship, which is a unique league.
