Andrea Radrizzani is not willing to sell Leeds United as he believes the club is “on the verge of something special”, according to BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope.
The radio host claimed via his personal Twitter account on Sunday that four or five parties have made contact with Leeds about potentially buying stakes in the Championship club.
However it is understood that Radrizzani is not prepared to sell up just yet after Marcelo Bielsa led the side to a third-placed finish this season.
It’s understood Leeds have been contacted by 4-5 interested parties seeking potential stakes, but owner Andrea Radrizzani is not minded to sell currently as he believes the club is on the verge of something special.
They will not confirm that QSI are among those parties. #lufc— Adam Pope (@apopey) May 26, 2019
OPINION
Leeds could undergo a massive change this summer. They could have yet another new owner, a new manager and a new playing squad if Radrizzani does decide to sell his shares in the club. However it seems as though the Italian businessman is keen to stay put, and that is great news for the Whites because he has been their best owner in a very long time. Radrizzani has put faith and money into hiring a top manager in Bielsa, who almost led the Yorkshire side back to the Premier League this season. Leeds are just three or four signings away from being a team that can win the Championship and if they had a bit of better luck with injuries in the last year, they might already be preparing for a campaign in the top-flight of English football. Radrizzani’s stance is spot on because he is definitely close to taking them up.
