Izzy Brown was missing from the Leeds squad to face Ipswich on Sunday and it left fans wondering why the Chelsea loanee had been dropped entirely.
Phil Hay, senior reporter from the Yorkshire Evening Post, explained to to one fan that he had picked up a knock in the Under-23s game last time out.
However, even if he had been fit Hay claimed he wouldn’t have played. He said Brown “just doesn’t fit under Bielsa,” Hay said. “Been evident for ages that Bielsa trusts/prefers to rely on other players more.”
Hay made the claim on his personal Twitter page ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.
got an ankle knock with 23s but that aside, just doesn't fit under Bielsa. Been evident for ages that Bielsa trusts/prefers to rely on other players more.

OPINION
Izzy Brown was always a gamble for Leeds but it’s one that has failed miserably. Leeds have reportedly been picking up his wages since December and since then he’s only made one, pretty terrible, cameo appearance for the first-team that lasted nine minutes. This now makes it look like that will be the sum of his time in a Leeds shirt, in a season that’s been a disaster for the young attacker. He’ll be heading back to Chelsea in the summer where he’ll probably have to find another loan move. He won’t be getting near the Chelsea first team and he might find it hard to pick up a move to a top-half Championship side after his time at Elland Road. It’s a real shame for Brown, who seemed excited to be joining. But his injury was obviously much worse than people thought and he was plunged into the first-team at the wrong time, with Leeds 1-0 down to QPR and desperately looking for a way back into the game.
