Barry Ferguson has predicted that Celtic will win 2-0 against Hearts in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on Saturday.

The Hoops go into the fixture knowing that a victory against Craig Levein’s men is all that is needed to wrap up the history feat of a third domestic treble in a row.

Ex-Rangers star Ferguson expects them to do exactly that this weekend.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer on YouTube [20m20s], ex-Celtic goalkeeper Alan Rough said: “I think Hearts will make a go of it early on but as soon as Celtic get that first goal, I think Celtic will run out two-nothing winners.”

Ferguson replied: “Yeah I’m going to go for 2-0.”

OPINION

It is hard to predict anything but a win for Celtic this weekend. Neil Lennon’s men have been in good form other than their defeat at Rangers earlier this month but they will no doubt be completely fired up for the trip to Hampden on Saturday to beat Hearts for the second week on the bounce to wrap up the domestic treble. Lennon has rested some of his key players in the last week and he can be expected to make a host of changes to the starting line-up that won 2-1 against Hearts last time out. Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and Kieran Tierney are among some of the key players who will likely come into the side this weekend and they are all bound to shine at Hampden Park on what could be a history day for the boys in green and white. Ferguson has predicted a 2-0 win to Celtic, but we think that the Hoops could win by a far bigger margin and a 4-0 or 5-0 win is certainly on the cards.
