COMMENTARY
As one fan quite rightly points out, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has not been everyone’s cup of tea at Chelsea during his fledgling career but he is quickly showing why the Blues have kept him on board. It was a brilliant performance against Watford, not only because of his goal but because of his ability to drive forward with the ball and use his physicality and technical ability to get the better of the opposition. Standing at a colossus 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) in the centre of the pitch, he is always going to be a physical challenge for his rivals in the midfield and Watford just could not handle what he brought to the party. He had been used sparingly by Maurizio Sarri earlier in the season but he is now being given the chance to prove what he has to offer and he is taking that opportunity with both hands. His doubters, once plentiful at Stamford Bridge, will now be few and far between and he is quickly establishing himself as a favourite among the supporters.
This is Football has gathered a selection of the drooling Stamford Bridge faithful’s tweets:

Anytime RLC performs, I remember how CFC fans doubted him and wanted him to go on loan! They said he was over hyped and wanted a new Mf! Look at Ruben now!!! #CFC
