Leeds fans think they’re in for some amazing news on Bielsa after a cryptic tweet was picked up by Phil Hay.
The tweet, from the official Leeds United Twitter account just showed a video of white smoke, traditionally displayed when the Vatican confirms a new pope.
Phil Hay retweeted this with the words “Any news etc” and with news expected imminently on Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds fans have gone into meltdown.

This certainly seems like it’s the news that Leeds fans have been waiting for and we’d imagine, given the timeline of previous tweets like this from Leeds, that Bielsa will be announced around midday.
That would be an absolutely massive boost for the club and the fans, with talks taking a long time and Leeds fans fearing the worst.
However, it looks like Andrea Radrizzani has convinced the maverick manager to stay for another year at Elland Road.
Promotion this time next year? It’s looking a lot more likely now if this news is what we think it is.
