Leeds United could make many clubs envious by winning the race to sign Coventry City midfielder Tom Bayliss and they should go all out to get his signature as a result.

According to the Sunday People’s print edition (Sunday May 5th, page 51) Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Brighton are all interested in securing the central midfielder’s service and Coventry are facing a battle to keep him as a result.

It’s no surprise that Bayliss is so in-demand as he has wowed in League One for Coventry City this season and is only 20-years-old.

The midfielder has made a total of 41 appearances across all competitions in his current campaign and has showcased his versatility by playing on the right-flank, left-flank as well as just in front of the defence when necessary.

Also Bayliss isn’t a one-season wonder as he also had a fantastic 2017/18 campaign where he was involved in 10 goals in 32 outings for Coventry.

If having two successful seasons in England’s third-tier at the age of only 20-years-old isn’t enough to show his immense potential, then a previous report by the Daily Mail about what Tottenham thought about him easily will.

The newspaper claimed that the Premier League side had their attention grabbed by the midfielder when he was only 18-years-old in January 2018 due to his impressive pace, composure and passing range.

Bayliss still has a ridiculously good passing range, is even more composed on the ball now he has more experience and hasn’t lost an ounce of his pace since Spurs first thought this.

With this in mind, and considering he will continue to get better, then the Whites could be the envy of many other teams if they secure his services.

Leeds are a very attractive team for a young player to be at, as Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t shy away from using youth and if they go all out for him then they could easily beat other sides to his services.

Hopefully the decision makers at Leeds are prepared to act for Bayliss as he would be one fantastically shrewd signing to make.
