Leeds United are desperate to permanently sign Manchester City winger Jack Harrison, according to The Sun.

The national newspaper claim that the Whites are keen to land the 22-year-old full-time after he spent his 2018/19 campaign on loan at Elland Road, but that Man City are aware the player’s value has skyrocketed.

The Sun report that Man City believe Harrison is now worth between £15million and £20million; so Leeds could be priced out of a move for him as a result.

However The Sun’s report adds that Leeds are open to taking the attacker on loan for another season but Pep Guardiola’s side are less inclined to sanction another temporary move.

Good move for Leeds?

No, not if it costs them £20million.

If Manchester City really rate Harrison as being worth £20million then he should get comfortable at their club as it would be absurd for any team to pay anywhere near that.

However if Leeds can agree another loan deal for the attacker, then it would be a smart decision to acquire his services for another campaign.

Harrison at times proved to be useful to Marcelo Bielsa’s side as he did managed to rack up four goals as well as four assists in his 42 outings for the club.

Likely to happen?

There’s a chance that Harrison, who earns £51,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac) could be back at Elland Road but based on this report it’s only a small one.

Aside from the attacker’s price tag being enough to scare the Whites off, they’re not the only club chasing his signature.

The Sun’s report claims that a number of Premier League clubs have already held initial talks about signing Harrison and they may have an advantage in the race for him.

This is because not only are they acting quickly but they can offer top-flight football to the winger as well as probably match his ludicrous asking price unlike Leeds.
