Jamie O’Hara has predicted his old side Tottenham to produce ‘something special’ in their clash with Ajax in order to get a result on Wednesday night.

Tottenham go into the second leg 1-0 down and O’Hara believes they can beat the Dutch side who have been “the most enjoyable team to watch” in the Champions League.

Speaking on talkSPORT’s Jim White show, O’Hara said: “It’s a tough night for Spurs, but I do fancy them! I do think they can get a result”.

The former midfielder went on to add that he thinks the pressure is on Ajax not Spurs: “The pressure’s on Ajax, they’re at home, everyone is going to expect them to get to the final and Tottenham can soak it up and I think they can produce something special tonight”.

OPINION

O’Hara is certainly right to describe Ajax as one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in this year’s competition. Not many teams in history can boast about knocking out two of the best sides in the world to get to where they are. Having said this, they are a prime example that anything can happen and Spurs will definitely fancy theirs chances on Wednesday night. Now knowing what expect, Mauricio Pochettino should start with similar tactics to what he used in the second half of the first leg and try to control midfield or at-least do as much as possible to unsettle the Dutch sides midfield with players like Moussa Sissoko likely to be involved. With the return of previously suspended Heung Min Son in to the starting fold, Spurs now hold a much bigger threat on the front foot and will be ready to spring a surprise come kick off on Wednesday night.
