Celtic are ready to offload Olivier Ntcham this summer for around £7million, according to Football Insider

The report claims that Celtic do not expect to fetch anywhere near the £14 million fee that Portuguese giants Porto were willing to pay back in January.

The 23-year-old only put pen to paper on a new four-year deal to stay at Celtic Park back in November, but it now looks as if he could move on this summer.

Ntcham, who signed for £4.5 million from Manchester City in July 2017, is keen on a move away from the club.

OPINION

Ntcham has been in and out of the Celtic team this season. He only made 16 appearances in the Scottish Premiership and his value has plummeted since January. The Frenchman was hugely impressive during his first season with Celtic in 2017 – he played 48 times in all competitions and was a regular in the Celtic lineup. With Ntcham keen on a move and with him having such a lacklustre season this year, it may be the right time to cash in on the midfielder before his value drops even further. With just three goals in the league this term, his contribution has not been good enough. Celtic must appoint a new permanent manager before deciding his future, though – it would make no sense selling him any time soon as the circumstances could dramatically change in terms of what the new boss wants. If Celtic were offered £14million in January this will prove to be a very costly second-half of the season for them.
