Celtic are facing a summer of upheaval, one way or another.

The Hoops are on the cusp of the treble treble, a momentous achievement, but they have had to come by it the hard way this season.

With Brendan Rodgers jumping ship halfway through the campaign to take the reins at Leicester City, it has been left to old favourite Neil Lennon to steer the Bhoys to success.

Now though, the club stands at a fork in the road with a big decision to make.

Do they elect to stick with Lennon after all he has done, provided he wins the Scottish Cup of course, or do they look further afield for a bigger name in the hope that they can kick on in Europe next season?

Alan Brazil has given his view on things at Parkhead, and you would have to say that he is right.

Speaking on talkSPORT (May 21st, 6.50am), he said: “He’s got to get the job, hasn’t he?

“I think the Celtic hierarchy, from what I hear, want to give him it, but there’s one or two Celtic supporters who aren’t sure.”

Surely Brazil is right.

What more can Lennon do aside from come in and win every trophy put in front of him?

It hasn’t always been as free-flowing and easy as things were under Rodgers, but the Northern Irishman has come into the club halfway through a season, with a squad and infrastructure that isn’t his, has settled the team, got them winning one way or another, and now could be at the helm for one of the proudest moments in the club’s history.

To get rid of him would set an unruly precedent.

Supporters would do well to heed Brazil’s comments.
