COMMENTARY
With a side that were lacking many of their big name stars, it should come as little surprise that Aston Villa suffered a 2-1 defeat to title chasing, and eventual champions, Norwich City on Sunday afternoon. In fact it might have been a harsh result for Dean Smith’s men, who performed admirably despite being very much under strength in terms of the players out on the pitch. However, that did not stop one Villa ace from causing the supporters to tear their hair out, with Albert Adomah the offending individual. The forward, who has been a regular in the first team this season, did not look at the races for much of the game and perhaps it was the lack of experience with those around him which threw him off balance. However, as an 18-cap international for Ghana, not to mention an experienced head with plenty of game time, he should have performed much better than he did. It does not bode particularly well going into the play-offs – although Smith might well be looking at those he rested to come in and take his place.
This is Futbol has picked out a selection of the Villa faithful’s raging tweets:
Adomah for me is the one player that needs to be better – too often he doesn’t beat the first man with balls into the box. Otherwise the team played well

Davis and Adomah combine to get a corner. But someone should have seen Green running alone down the left.
