Tottenham Hotspur’s U23 squad managed an impressive win in their last game of the Premier League 2 season yesterday, defeating Derby County U23s 3-1 to ensure survival in the division. However, the mood was dampened when a nasty-looking injury was sustained by Spurs youth striker Troy Parrott, forcing the 17-year old to be subbed off and shipped off to hospital. Thankfully, Parrott has since given a positive update on the injury from his personal Twitter account, much to the joy of the Spurs faithful. Parrott has been on top form this season for the U23s, and has even netted 13 times in eight appearances for the U18s. It would have been a significant loss for the North London club should he have been out for a lengthy period of time, especially with pre-season ahead of the 2019/20 campaign just around the corner. It seems Parrott is a favourite amongst Spurs fans, and there were a number of people who came to show their appreciation for the youngster after his injury update. They did this by tipping him to have a big future at the club, with one cheekily urging him to grab a place on bench v Ajax.
