COMMENTARY
Nottingham Forest beat QPR 1-0 on Saturday yet Forest fans had a reason to be displeased. This reason was midfielder Matty Cash as several appeared to be appalled by his display. One claimed he was a bit headless during the game, implying he ran all over the shop without much direction, while others showed how unimpressed they were by calling for him to be subbed. However one Forest fan was harsher then most as they simply couldn’t believe they had paid money to watch Cash play, which says how they didn’t rate the 21-year-old’s display one bit. Cash has regularly featured for Forest this season, he has played 39 times, but it seems based on this reaction; many would no doubt love to see him have a spell on the bench. The only question is whether they will get their wish as Martin O’Neill has regularly stuck with Cash for one reason or another, and it’s hard to see that changing.

Would like to see Guedioura in that midfield with Yates, we need someone who can pass the ball rather than Cash’s blood and thunder approach. We need to push the wingbacks up but QPR are putting up more of a fight than Boro. #NFFC

I know it’s constant negativity and he can’t please everyone but why is MoN so insistant on playing Cash, Yates and Osbourne every game! Get Yacob on the pitch #nffc

We need someone to keep the ball and give it to Carvalho. Pele did that brilliantly last week. Cash runs and makes tackles. Not composed enough. Byram naturally reluctant to fly forward. Needs a tweak. #nffc

Got to have Yacob in midfield to retain a bit of possession. Yates and Cash a bit headless.#nffc
