Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings wowed many Villans supporters in the first-half against Leeds United on Sunday as several couldn’t believe his silky skills. The centre-back glided forward quite often and one venture near Leeds’ goal seemed to bamboozle their defence before he was taken down. While Mings was brought down fairly, the fact he was able to make Leeds’ defence look foolish was enough to have fans singing his praises even though his efforts didn’t result in a goal. One Villans fan claimed Mings turned into Lionel Messi while another compared him to Diego Maradona. Hopefully for Villa’s sake Mings can continuned channelling both those players in the second-half because if he does, then Dean Smith’s side would surely rack up another three points. As it stands at the break Leeds and Villa are drawing 0-0, and you feel a moment of magic could be what decides the game, and based on Mings’ first-half performance he could be the player to produce the goods.
