James Shan is predicted to make four changes to West Brom’s starting line-up ahead of their clash against Rotherham at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Hal Robson-Kanu could be axed from the attack after a poor display in the 0-0 draw with Reading, with Dwight Gayle expected to return to the side as he was dropped to the bench for the Easter Monday action.

Conor Townsend, Sam Field and Rekeem Harper might also be left out of the starting line-up against relegation-threatened Rotherham, with Kieran Gibbs, Jake Livermore and Chris Brunt all likely to return.

Sam Johnstone has started every Championship fixture this season and is pretty much nailed on to start against the Millers, who could be relegated by the end of play on Sunday.

Shan has played with a back-three in the last few games so that could be employed once again this weekend with Tosin Adarabioyo, Craig Dawson and Kyle Bartley starting. Ahmed Hegazi has had fitness issues lately and with the play-offs drawing every close, he might not be risked.

Mason Holgate and Gibbs are expected to occupy the two wing-back roles while Brunt and Livermore could be Shan’s go-to men to start in the centre of the midfield.

Jay Rodriguez and Jacob Murphy might retain their spots in Shan’s attack but £30,000-a-week [Spotrac] Robson-Kanu could be the one to drop out and be replaced by Gayle.
