Tottenham are sweating over the fitness of four players ahead of their clash against West Ham on Saturday, according to BBC Sport.

The broadcaster claims that Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Harry Winks and Erik Lamela are doubts for the Premier League showdown at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while Harry Kane, Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko are definitely ruled out.

It is understood that Alli and Rose suffered minor injuries in the midweek win against Brighton but Spurs are hopeful of them being available to take on Manuel Pellegrini’s side this weekend.

OPINION

Mauricio Pochettino must have walked under a ladder of smashed a mirror last summer because Spurs have had some really bad luck with injuries this season. It has become more and more obvious that the World Cup has had a major impact on the Tottenham squad this term because almost every first team player has been hit by an injury at some stage. Spurs players will be able to smell their summer breaks now and while the job of sealing a top-four spot is not quite complete yet, that win against Brighton earlier this week really helped them out. It means that Pochettino can afford to make a few changes to his side ahead of the meeting with West Ham on Saturday. While Spurs do not want to lose that game, they also do not want to risk receiving any more key player injuries before their Champions League semi-final with Ajax.
