Harry Kane could leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window, according to Galicia Press.
The Spanish news outlet claims that Spurs want to bolster their strike-force in the summer with exits on the cards for Vincent Janssen, Fernando Llorente, and more unexpectedly, England captain Kane.
Galicia Press says Kane “can also leave the team this summer”, which could leave Spurs’ attack “orphaned”.
It is understood that Tottenham have already made an effort to try and replace those they might lose in the coming months by tabling a bid for Celta Vigo centre-forward Maxi Gomez, who could also serve as competition for Kane if he stays.
Spurs are said to have offered around £25million for the Uruguay international, but it has been rejected by the relegation-threatened La Liga club, who won’t negotiate for anything less than £30.2million.
Good move for Tottenham?
Gomez is a striker with a lot of potential and he would be a very good addition in North London, but no one would be able to replace Kane if he does leave Spurs in the summer.
Kane is one of, if not the best, striker in the world and Spurs should be aiming for someone a lot better than Gomez if the England captain left.
If Kane was to stay though, Gomez would be a good back-up option.
He has scored 11 goals and supplied five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season, but his form has dipped since January after he was linked with a move to West Ham?
Should Tottenham sign Gomez? They should definitely have a go if they need to a new second-choice striker.

It would be the shock of the year of Kane was to leave Tottenham in the summer.
We do not expect the Spurs talisman to go anywhere, but Llorente and Janssen could very much be offloaded by Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs would have to meet Celta’s valuation of Gomez to sign him, but he does seem like someone who could be affordable.
