Aston Villa Defender Neil Taylor has claimed that Leeds United will be filled with fear come Sunday’s Championship clash as he sends a brazen message to the Elland Road outfit.

Leeds go into the game on the back on two defeats which have seen them slip out of the automatic promotion places much to the dismay of their fans.

The Welsh international told the Daily Star: “I am sure if we went into a game with a team who have won 10 games in a row, you would fear them a little bit because you know what they are capable of.”

“It is a great feeling at the moment. I always feel when we step on the pitch we can win the game.”

Villa have won ten games on the bounce under Dean Smith and Leeds will be looking to return to winnings ways at Elland Road.

OPINION

There is no hiding the fact that Leeds are licking their wounds at the moment, with the two defeats on the bounce all but ending the Whites’ hope of finishing in the top two and sealing automatic promotion. Aston Villa on the other hand are one of England’s top sides at the moment having won their tenth game on the trot and will be looking to make that 11 come Sunday. Marcelo Bielsa’s men will not fear anyone in the division with their style of play. Their free flowing football is good enough to beat any team in the league on their day. Aston Villa on the other are also playing with great freedom under Smith, and players like Jack Grealish have been top class since the turn of the year. The loss of Tammy Abraham to injury will definitely effect the away side at the weekend and there will be added responsibility on the shoulders on Jonathan Kodjia. Both sides need momentum for their inevitable play-off run but right now, Leeds definitely need a win more than the Villans and their fans will demand nothing less.
