OPINION
Sporting comebacks seem to be all the rage at the moment. With Tiger winning the Masters and Ajax partying like it was mid-90s in Turin last night, there’s a growing trend for rolling back the years and turning it on in grand style. It might not be on the same level, but ask any Tottenham fan about the best turnaround of the year, however, and they’ll probably reply with just two words: Moussa Sissoko. The rangy Frenchman was an absolute disaster when he first signed for the club from Newcastle United, but this campaign he has taken us all back to 2016, a time when he was legitimately unplayable and ran the show in a European Championship final. If you’re looking for a perfect distillation of his transformation from zero to hero, look no further than the video Tottenham posted to their official Twitter on Wednesday. Taken from Saturday’s 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town, it shows Sissoko flicking and pirouetting his way across the midfield, leaving a trail of opponents looking foolish in his wake. The 29-year-old looks poised and almost elegant, a far cry from the bumbling calamity he was when he first rocked up in London. This year, finally, he has turned a corner.

It's incredible how good he's been this season. Player of the season. £30m now seems justified or almost like a bargain. Keep the form up. ???????? #coys
