Celtic beat Kilmarnock 1-0 in the Scottish Premiership today but it was far from a vintage display after a turgid 0-0 v Livingston last weekend.
If Lennon was after a reaction, he didn’t get it and although Celtic got the three points, you’d have been hard pressed to find a happy fan.
Chris Sutton delivered a sarcastic five-word verdict after the game, tweeting “Celtic steaming towards the title.”
That led to a torren of replies from Celtic fans who preferred words like “coughing and spluttering” and “limping“.
More fans said Celtic played like they were steaming but said the three points would do.

Another fan said it was “hard to watch” and that just about sums up Neil Lennon’s reign since Brendan Rodgers left.
Many said that Lennon would have to deliver the title and the cup to land the permanent manager’s job, but on this evidence that might not be enough.
